One of the major constraints in eggplant production is the high cost of commercial fertilizer thus, organic fertilizer which can be produced in situ are now being studied to reduce the cost of production. Eggplant production suffers yield losses from pests, diseases and extreme environment conditions. The most destructive insect pest of eggplant is the fruit and shoot borer. This study aimed to determine the performance of eggplant applied with different rates of vermicompost treated with effective microorganism. Following the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) in three blocks, the treatments used were: T0-No application, T1- 100% BSR, T2- 100% Vermicompost, T3- 100% Vermicompost Treated with EM, T4-75% BSR + 100 g Vermicompost Treated with EM, T5- 50% BSR + 7 5g Vermicompost Treated with EM, T6-50% BSR + 50 g Vermicompost Treated with Effective Microorganism. Based on the findings of the study application of T5- 50% BSR + 75 g Vermicompost Treated with Effective Microorganism per plot produced highest marketable yield (27.72 kg/plot) and highest net income of (P525.29/plot).
