| dc.description.abstract | This study examines the socio-economic contributions of La Union's loom weaving industry in Bangar, La Union, focusing on income generation, employment, education, social support, and cultural preservation. Using a descriptive research design with quantitative and qualitative methods, findings highlight the industry's economic benefits and sustainability, recommending increased attention and funding for cultural and educational efforts. The loom weaving industry in Bangar, La Union, sustains local livelihoods but needs more focus on education and cultural preservation. Key motivators for engagement include cultural significance, economic benefits, and personal fulfillment. Despite some cultural programs, awareness is limited. Modern marketing techniques help the industry adapt to consumer preferences. Recommendations include prioritizing educational opportunities through institutional partnerships, enhancing weaver motivations with incentives and skill development, and investing in cultural preservation projects and innovative marketing strategies. Further studies on effective marketing, consumer preferences, and technology's role in traditional weaving are suggested to ensure sustainable growth. | |
