Abstract
The study aimed to determine the growth and survival of outplanted inarched rambutan seedlings as applied with different levels of nitrogen fertilizers. The study was conducted at the Agroforestry Research and Demonstration Farm of DMMMSU, NLUC, Bacnotan, La Union, from September 3, 2011 to January 3, 2012.
A total of 100 inarched rambutan seedlings were used and was laid out using the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) replicated 4 times.
The treatments were the following:
T0 – (BSR 22g – 21 – 0 – 0/seedling)
T1 – (16.5g – 21 – 0 – 0/seedling)
T2 – (11.0g – 21 – 0 – 0/seedling)
T3 – (27.5g – 21 – 0 – 0/seedling)
T4 – (33g – 21 – 0 – 0/seedling)
The result of the study showed no significant differences among treatments used in terms of monthly height and monthly diameter increment, final height and final diameter. All of the inarched rambutan seedlings planted survived at the termination of the study.
Based on the results of the study, inarched rambutan seedlings can be
outplanted even without fertilizer application.
