Literature states that vitamins and minerals provide defense against diseases, promote growth and reproduction and contribute to the general health of the animal. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the effects of different brands (T₀ = control, T₁ = afsillin, T₂ = cecical) of vitamin/mineral supplements on the performance of weaners from October 6 to December 6, 2007 at the Piggery Project of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union. A total of 18 weaners were distributed into three treatments using Completely Randomized design (CRD) replicated three times. The result of the study showed that vitamin and mineral supplements significantly increased the final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, and feed conversion efficiency. However, the profit above feeds and vitamins/minerals supplements was comparable with those pigs in the control.
