The high price of feeds in the market brought about by the importation of raw materials from the global market place, poultry raisers find ways to source out alternative indigenous alternative sources of feedstuff. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the performance of broilers as affected by varying ratio of corn and cassava tuber meal as feed substitute (75% Corn + 25% Cassava Tuber Meal, 50% Corn + 50% Cassava Tuber Meal, 25% Corn + 75% Cassava Tuber Meal) and to determine the best ratio that would produce the most economical result. This study was conducted from August 6, 2011 to September 9, 2011 at Hermosa Residence San Martin, Bacnotan, La Union. Sixty (14-day old) chicks were used in the study made used the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) in three blocks. Result of the study revealed that the performance of birds fed with different ratio of corn and cassava tuber meal at 15% substitution to broiler starter mash were comparable to those birds fed with the control ration (Pure Broiler Starter Mash) in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio and profit.
