Due to high cost of feeds, this study was conducted to determine the performance of broilers fed with pure broiler starter mash against those fed with LABS fermented ration (10% Fermented Cassava Tuber Meal, 20% Fermented Cassava Tuber Meal and 30% Fermented Cassava Tuber Meal) as feed extender. This was conducted at Barangay Amontoc, San Gabriel, La Union from November 6 to December 10, 2014. A total of 60 heads 14-day-old broiler chicks were distributed randomly in four treatments following the RCBD in three blocks. Results revealed that the final weight, gain in weight and feed consumption of birds fed with 10% up to 30% LABS fermented cassava tuber meal (FCTM) were comparable with the birds in the control ration. Birds fed with 20% up to 30% LABS (FCTM) registered comparable profit but significantly higher than the birds given with 10% LABS (FCTM) and birds in the control ration.
