Abstract
Financial Technology is vital in rural banks as it provides access to financial services, streamlines processes, improve customer experience ,and enables data-driven decision-making. By utilizing fintech, rural banks can stay competitive and meet the evolving needs of their customers in remote and underbanked communities. However, rural banks in the Philippines have been slow to adopt fintech, which may limit their ability to meet the changing needs of their customers. The findings revealed that the rural banks in La Union have moderate fintech readiness. Factors such as customer profiles, management support, and perceived benefits of fintech adaption are significant predictors of fintech readiness. The study concludes with recommendations on how rural banks in La Union can improve their fintech readiness, which can help rural banks in La Union to serve customers better and remain competitive in the rapidly evolving financial landscape.
