Abstract
The poultry industry today is encountering difficulties due to costly feeds. One possible way of reducing cost is the use of various means of increasing the availability of nutrients from local feedstuff. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the performance of broilers fed with corn soaked to different organic solutions (Coconut water, Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum, Banana Plant Juice,Sargassum Tea). This was conducted at Lacong, San Gabriel, La Union from May 21, 2016 to June 25, 2016. A total of Seventy five 14 days old chicks were used in the study. The birds were distributed into five treatments following the in three blocks. Results revealed that the performance of birds fed with Corn Soaked to different organic solutions as feed extender were comparable to birds given with the control diet in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion ratio, and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost, however, feed consumption was found significant.
