The study aimed to compare the effects in terms of the growth, yield and economic response of the cucumber plant to the different irrigation methods in mulched and nonmulched plots. It was conducted at the DMMMSU Demo Farm, Raois, Bacnotan, La Union from January 8, 2017 to February 28, 2017. Two factors were studied namely the use irrigation methods in mulched and nonmulched plots. The irrigation methods used in the study were Subsurface drip, Surface drip and Manual irrigation. Analysis of Variance was used to determine the effects of the treatments on the growth and yield of cucumber. No significant differences were noted in mulched and nonmulched plots on the length of vines at 20 DAP, 30 DAP and 40 DAP. Surface drip irrigation in mulched plots obtained the highest marketable fruits with a mean of 12.97 kg. Economic analysis showed that the highest total expenses were computed in manual irrigation in mulched plots with 191,413.02 pesos. The highest gross income amounting 707,272.80 pesos was computed under surface drip irrigation in mulched plots which has also the highest net income of 547,797.71 pesos.
