The role of editorial cartoons as a burgeoning body of mass media was apparent in the involvement of delivering finite information and fostering change in the reader's minds. As a conveyor of dominant values in a society, the approach in semiological discourse analysis was utilized to investigate the meanings and ideologies present in the Editorial Cartoons. The most appropriate research design, which is the qualitative approach, alongside the two analyses methods particularly the semiological analysis and critical discourse analysis, was employed in investigation of the seventeen editorial cartoons published in the different student campus papers from 2018 to 2022 in the City of San Fernando, Province of La Union, Philippines. The Editorial Cartoons were used as the source of data in the study. Based on the analysis of such, the identified thirty-five recurring signs were classified as humans, emotions, inanimate objects, and animate objects following their signified. Next to this was the presentation of their frames using non-linguistic and linguistic devices. Lastly, six ideologies reflected the student campus paper's deliverance of information to the readers.
