The high price of feeds in the market brought about by the importation of raw materials from the global market place, poultry raisers find ways to source out alternative indigenous alternative sources of feedstuff. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the performance of the broilers as affected by varying ratio of corn and buga meal as feed extender (20% Corn, 20% Buga meal, 15% Corn + 5% Buga meal, 10% Corn + 10% Buga meal, 5% Corn + 15% Buga meal) and to determine the best ratio that produce the most economical result. This study was conducted from January 10, 2014 to February 13, 2014 at, Brgy. Bayugao Weste, Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur. A total of ninety 14 day-old chicks were distributed randomly into six treatments following the RCBD in three blocks. Result of the study, revealed that birds fed with different ratio of corn and buga meal at 20% level substitution significantly obtained poorer performance to birds fed with the control diet in terms of final weight, gain in weight feed consumption and profit, however in terms of feed conversion ratio comparable performance was obtained by the birds fed with 20% corn, 15% corn + 5% buga and 10% corn and 10% buga, and the control diet.
