Due to the high cost of feeds, this study was conducted to determine the performance of broilers fed with pure broiler starter mash against those fed with banana corm meal ration (5%, 10%, and 15% BCM) as a feed extender. This was conducted at Barangay Casiaman, Bacnotan, La Union from November 22 to December 28, 2014. A total of 60 heads of 14-day-old broiler chicks were distributed randomly in four treatments following the RCBD in three blocks. Results revealed that birds fed with pure Broiler Starter Mash performed comparably with birds fed with 5% BCM + 95% BSM in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, and profit above feed, medicine, and stock cost.
