The study was conducted to determine the best sweetpotato variety that could give a favourable growth, yield and highest net income as intercrop with rambutan and to determine the growth performance of rambutan during the duration of the study. The study was conducted at the Agroforestry Research and Demonstration Farm (ARDF) of the Institute of Agroforestry and Watershed Management, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Bacnotan, La Union, from July 19 to December 16, 2013. The study was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with four blocks. There were 800 cuttings of sweetpotato used in the study. The treatments were Native variety (V1), PSB SP₂₂ variety (V2), Haponita variety (V3), and Bengueta variety (V4). Result of the study revealed no significant difference in all the parameters taken such as the length of primary vines, mean number of secondary vines, weight of tubers in kg per plot, and yield of tubers in kg per hectare. However in terms of the net income, Bengueta variety gave the highest with Php 119,244.88 per hectare.
