dc.description.abstractBiogas is a colorless and flammable gas obtained by the process of anaerobic digestion that comes from the plant, animal and municipal wastes to produce methane gas and carbon dioxide. It is also considered as one of the best solutions to environmental problems; it can also be used for heating and cooking. In this study methane gas was produced from pig and cow dung from decomposition for 30 days. The study used different types of dung that were carried out through anaerobic fermentation. The fermentation was separately done using 15 bottles of bio-digesters. The biogas produced was measured by the change in water level in the level hose every after two days and tested the gas produced using flame test. In thefive different treatments, Treatment 4 which is the pig dung produced more methane gas, followed by Treatment 1( 50150 of cow and pig dung), Treatment 2 (mixture of 70% cow dung and 30% of pig dung), Treatment 5 (kg of cow dung) and Treatment 3 (mixture of 30% of cow dung and 70% of pig dung). There were three biodigesters that did not produce methane gas, namely, T2Rl or the Mixed (70% Cow and 30% Pig), T3R2 Mixed (30% Cow and 70% Pig) and T5R3 Cow Dung.
