Managing litter quality is essential for broiler chicken health and productivity, as poor litter can lead to serious health problems. Among the factors affecting litter quality, organic waste content and pH are particularly important. This study evaluated the effects of various doses of brown seaweed (Sargassum crassifolium) extract in drinking water on litter ammonia, nitrate, nitrite emissions, and pH levels. A completely randomized design (CRD) with 20 broiler chicks divided into five treatments was used. Results showed the highest ammonia level in the positive control (T0+), while T2 had the lowest, suggesting reduced ammonia. Nitrate levels were highest in T3 and lowest in T1. Nitrite levels were undetectable (0.00 ppm) across all treatments. Slight pH differences were observed, with T1 having the lowest and T0- the highest. Statistical analysis revealed significant effects on ammonia and nitrate levels, and treatment and interaction effects on pH levels.
