The high cost of medicine for broiler is hindering the expansion of producing broiler hence, the need to explore alternative and locally available resource is of atmost importance. One of such resource is guava which is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants against a wide range of diseases. The study was conducted at Pandan Bacnotan, La Union from December 6, 2014 to January 10, 2015 to determine the effect (3%, 6%, 9%) of Guava Leaves Extract on the performance of broiler; and to determine the most appropriate level of guava leaves extract that give the highest possible return. Using the RCBD in three blocks, seventy five day old broilers (Cobb strain) were distributed randomly into five treatments. Based on the results of the study, the final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, and profit above feed, medicine and stock costs of birds given medicated water using guava leaves extract from 3 to 9 ml/ liter of water were comparable with the birds given medicated water with commercial antibiotics.
