dc.description.abstractMungbean is drought-tolerant and requires a warm climate during its growing period. This study was conducted to determine the most promising mungbean lines EGM-05717, EGM-05731, EGM-05738, EGM-05744, Vg Mg -6510-151 and NSIC Mg 17 (NC) that would give the highest growth and yield under DMMMSU condition from November 24, 2015 to February 7, 2016.The different mungbean lines were distributed in four blocks using Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The study showed that, EGM-05-738 was the earliest to emerge, flower and had the highest survival rate. Vg Mg-6510-151 recorded the longest pods, heaviest weight of 100 seeds but has the lowest number of seeds per pod. As to the number of seeds per pod, the different mungbean genotypes obtained a comparable performance except Vg Mg 6510-151which recorded the lowest number. All the different mungbean lines were comparable with the NSIC Mg 17 (NC) in terms of yield, maturity, plant height and number of pods.
