dc.description.abstractRecruitment and Selection is one of the basic function of Human Resource Management. This study is designed to determine the sources of applicants, recruitment practices and selection practices of District Hospitals in La Union. It employed the Descriptive-survey method and data-were gathered from four (4) Human Resource Unit Head, Manager and Staffs through questionnaire, which where analyze and processed through mean and percentages. The findings revealed that respondents in District Hospitals source applicants from walk-in, job advertisement, and referral of former employees. They recruit applicants using streamers / tarpaulins and websites and prefer to collect curriculum vitae through personally submitted by applicants or through company email, and shift curriculum vitae based on personal skills, work experience, education and training. They conduct ability test, psychological test, intelligence test, personality test, telephone background and interview, check background and reference through telephone and they require chest x-ray, drug test and RP- PCR test, (Covid-19 Test) and send text message to notify applicants.
