dc.description.abstractOrganic farming is an eco-friendly farming system. Vermicast contain large amount of nitrogen in available forms that can be utilized by plant. Lactic acid bacteria serum (LABS) gives strength to weak plants and defense against fungus and viruses. A study on the rates of vermicast and LABS tea (R0 – No Fertilization; R1 – BSR, R2 – 1 liter/linear meter; R3 – 2 liters/linear meter; and R4 – 3 liters/linear meter) on two peanut varieties (LG Pn 11-C and IPB Pn 93-11-41) during the dry season was conducted to: (a) determine the response of two peanut varieties as affected by vermicast-lactic acid bacteria serum tea, (b) to determine the best rates of vermicast-LABS tea on the growth and yield of peanut and, (c) to determine the interaction effects of two peanut varieties and rates of vermicast-lactic acid bacteria serum tea. This study was conducted from November 15, 2012 to February 19, 2013 at the experimental area of the Agriculture Department, DMMMSU-NLUC, Bacnotan, La Union using split plot technique, arranged in RCB factorial design, in three blocks.
