Abstract
Much is desired to enhance the development of the OTOP program in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur. This study was conducted to evaluate the OTOP Program in the municipality. Specifically, this study identified the marketing practices; trend of development, level of profitability of calamansi commodity; areas affecting the implementation of the OTOP; and the problems encountered in the implementation of the OTOP Program The descriptive research design, specifically the case study research method was used in the study. Interview, survey, trend, profitability and correlation analysis were conducted as basis for the interpretations made. Generally, areas affecting the implementation of the OTOP program such as information dissemination, availability of support programs and availability of investment information were perceived as very important. Correlation analysis further revealed that socio- demographic factors such as age, civil status, and highest educational attainment have no significant influence on these areas. The problems encountered in the implementation of the OTOP program appeared to be very serious.
