dc.description.abstractIn the process of development, it is important for communities to implement initiatives that will elevate their living condition. The Bamboo Plantation and Development Project is among the initiatives designed to help the people in the upland community of the City of San Fernando. This study is conducted to describe the profile oj the project and to ascertain its contribution to the economic and social aspects development of the beneficiaries, hi addition, the study also determined the initiatives implemented to ensure the sustainability of the project. This study utilized a quantitative research design employing survey questionnaires and documentary analysis. Data were gathered from 39 beneficiaries and 6 implementers and were analyzed through frequency counts and percentage. The study revealed that the project provides livelihood and alleviate the living condition of the community. The study found that the project has a direct economic and social benefit to the lives of the beneficiaries. The San Fernando City Bamboo Plantation is integrated into the Local Development Plan of the City and these were implemented for the sustainability of the project. A policy brief was also formulated as an output of the study.
