Publication Entreprenuerial skills of employees in selected financial institutions and insurane companies: basis for a training program(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University -Open University System, 2021) Unciano, Sheryll U.; Alcantara, Milagros R.; Dela Cruz, Madonna C.; Molina, Carmelita P.Entrepreneurial skills are of critical importance to the modern economy. However, due to the pandemic, it is undeniable that it brought changes and challenges in the financial service industries, which had a huge impact on their operations. This study intends to assess the entrepreneurial skills of employees in selected financial institutions and insurance companies during the pandemic as a basis for a training program. Quantitative methods were adopted in the analysis of the study and questionnaires were used as the main data gathering tool. Frequency counts and percentages were used to measure the profile of respondents and problems encountered by the respondents while the weighted mean was utilized to measure the capability of financial and insurance employees in entrepreneurial skills. The respondents of this study were employees from selected financial institutions and insurance companies in the City of San Fernando, La Union.
