Employees are the most valuable asset for organizations, as they play a crucial role in customer satisfaction and the delivery of high-quality products and services. Training and development are essential mechanisms to optimize employee performance, foster growth in efficiency, productivity, job satisfaction, motivation, and innovation within the organizational context. Organizational leaders must understand the significance of training and development in employee performance evaluation. Organizational leaders should use systematic methodologies to evaluate employee performance, considering factors such as human attributes, organizational dynamics, environmental conditions, motivational factors, skills proficiency, attitudes, and role perceptions. Training and development initiatives are essential for equipping employees with the necessary skills and competencies to meet the dynamic demands of the service sector. Challenges and opportunities include budget constraints, technological advancements, and changing market dynamics. Successful approaches to training and development, along with organizational culture, leadership support, and performance evaluation mechanisms, can maximize the effectiveness of training interventions.
