    Traffic accident situation in the selected barangay's of City of San Fernando, La Union

    Traffic accident occurs when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrians, animals, road debris or any other stationary objects such as trees and poles which can be resulted to damage of property, physical injuries, and even loss of lives. It is a worldwide tragedy that even a first world country faces such problem. Every day there are a lot of accidents reported, the annual number of traffic accident by 2018 reaches 1.35 million according to World Health Organization. This study aimed to assess the causes of vehicular traffic accident in the selected barangays of city of San Fernando La Union. The study used descriptive quantitative method. The research results indicated that Human Factor and Road Factor are the reasons of the occurrence of traffic accident.
