Publication Levels of Malunggay (Moringa olfeifera lam.) leaf extract in the drinking water of broilers(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - North La Union Campus, 2015-03) Valmonte. Mary Dulce L.Due to the ever increasing cost of medicine for broilers, researchers are looking for cheap and locally available raw materials as substitute to commercial antibiotics. This study was conducted on November 10, 2014 to December 15, 2014 to determine the best level of malunggay leaf extract (3ml, 6ml and 9ml) that could substitute commercial antibiotics. Seventy five day old chicks were distributed in five treatments using RCBD in three blocks. Result of the study showed that the birds supplemented with 3 to 9 ml of malunggay leaf extract per liter of water exhibited comparable performance with the birds in the pure water and commercial antibiotics in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, cost of feed to produce a kilogram weight gain and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost.
