Solid waste management practices of the community stakeholders in the municipality of Santol, La Union

This study aimed to assess the solid waste management practices of the community stakeholders in the municipality of Santol, La Union. There were 300 respondents considered in the study which included the community stakeholders of the municipality in the lowland and upland areas. Descriptive survey method of research was used through the aid of questionnaire and supported by interview and observation. Frequency counts, percentages, weighted means and grand means were used in the analysis of data. T-test was used to determine the differences on the responses of the respondents in the lowland and upland areas. The research shows that respondents are moderately practicing solid waste management practices. Key words: lowland, solid wastes, upland, waste management
