    Sawdust briquetting machine
(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University- Mid La Union Campus, 2025-05) Alamid, Jameel George S.; Estioco, Samuel Jr J.; Halunajan, Neil Jolas G.; Nones, Mark Spencer S.; Tapang, Von Lester A.
A sawdust briquetting machine is a device designed to convert loose sawdust into dense, solid briquettes that can be used as a sustainable alternative to traditional fuels. This machine operates by compressing sawdust under high pressure with the need for binding agents to hold the briquettes together. The machine’s performance was evaluated by measuring production time, throughput capacity, and production efficiency. Data collection involved three treatments, each having four trials, are done in the capacity testing process. Results showed an average capacity of 341.87 kg/hr and an overall efficiency of 90.97%. The resulting product is environmentally friendly, easy to transport, and has a high calorific value, making it suitable for domestic heating and industrial energy applications. The briquetting process not only reduces waste in wood-processing industries but also contributes to cleaner energy practices by minimizing reliance on fossil fuels. Modern sawdust briquetting machines are efficient, durable, and often equipped with automated systems for continuous operation. Their adoption supports circular economy principles and offers significant economic and environmental benefits. As such, sawdust briquetting machines play a vital role in sustainable waste management and renewable energy production.
