Adviser: Mr. Charlie de Vera, MM This study analysed (1) the socio-economic profile, (2) the production, marketing, human resource, and finance practices of ginger producers, (3) problems encountered by the ginger producer in the Municipality of San Gabriel, and (4) support services; strength, weaknesses, sopportunities, and threats in the ginger enterprise; and the recommended development plan for the ginger enterprise in the Municipality of San Gabriel La Union. The descriptive method and qualitative design were used in the study. The result was analysed using frequency, percentages, correlation analysis, and weighted mean. The study revealed that ginger farmers had an average age of 50 to 60, mostly married and high school graduates. The most serious problem encountered by the ginger producers were infestation of pests and diseases, loss due to calamities, and marketing, low and unstable prices, oversupply of low ginger prices set by buyers. For human resource, the problems were labor migration, unskilled workers and aging farmer and for finance were limited capital, difficult access to finance.
