    Lactic acid bacteria serum fermented corn as substitute to commercial feeds for broiler

    Due to high cost of commercial feeds, the study was conducted to find out the performance of broilers fed with pure commercial feeds (Broiler Starter crumble) against those birds fed with 10%, 20% and 30% labs- fermented corn and 90%, 80%, & 70% Broiler Starter Crumble respectively. The study was conducted at Casiaman, Bacnotan, La Union from November 26 to December 30, 2014 in order to determine the performance of broilers fed with (10%-30%) labs- fermented corn in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio and profit above feed, medicine, LABS- fermented corn and stock cost. Based on the result of the study, broilers fed with 10% to 30% labs- fermented corn as feed substitute performed comparably with the broilers fed with pure broiler starter crumble in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion ratio and profit above feed, medicine, and stock cost. However, feed consumption was highly significant influenced by LABS- fermented corn.
