Green logistics management practices of selected agri-based enterprises in Bacnotan Public Market
(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University- North La Union Campus, 2024-05) Tagalan, Mary Crisca F.
This study on green logistics management practices in Bacnotan Public Market, La Union, examines socio-demographic profiles, perceptions of agri-based enterprises, and adoption levels of sustainable logistics practices, using a qualitative research design. Findings show a predominantly older respondent demographic, suggesting stability, with a notable presence of young entrepreneurs. Agri-based enterprises display strong sustainability inclinations, focusing on packaging efficiency, recycling, and supply chain optimization. Despite a strong commitment to sustainability, improvements are needed in reducing transportation emissions and adopting energy-efficient vehicles. A SWOT analysis highlights strengths such as government support and teamwork, alongside weaknesses like resistance and funding gaps. The IEC material emphasizes environmental sustainability's critical role, advocating for ethical decisions and collective action to foster economic growth, preserve natural resources, and address food security and climate change in the market context.
