    Kasambahay business services in Barangay Poro, San Fernando City, La Union : a feasibility study

    This study was conducted to determine the status of operating a Kasambahay Business Services in Barangay Poro, San Fernando City, La Union. The descriptive method of research was used in the study. Data were treated using frequency counts and percentage. A questionnaire is the managing tool in gathering the information needed. It is distributed purposively. The 330 respondents were obtained by using the Slovin’s Formula. The actual data of the total population of Barangay Poro, San Fernando City, La Union was gathered through the Barangay Captain. Results of the Study show that operating a Kasambahay Business Services in Barangay Poro is feasible. Referred from the marketing aspect, the market acceptability is enough for the business to be profitable. An analysis of the financial aspect of the study illustrates that the three years of operation will be profitable despite the costs of services. This is due to the significant decrease in expenses caused by the elimination of costs that are only related to the first year of operations. For the succeeding years, the business income will gradually grow. To spread the awareness about the Kasambahay Agency being operated in Barangay Poro, orientations, trainings, and seminars will be conducted in every barangay in San Fernando City, La Union.
