    Clarissa jade village resort online reservation system (CJVR-ORS)

    This study entitled Clarissa Jade Village Resort Online Reservation System specifically determined the status of existing reservation system of CJVR in terms of performance, information, economics, control, efficiency and services; developed the CJVR-ORS; and determined the acceptability of the developed system in terms of navigation, functionality, control, language, feedback, consistency, error prevention and correction, and visual clarity. The research designs used were descriptive and developmental types. The researchers administered survey questionnaires to 35 respondents by means of the Wetherbe’s PIECES framework in assessing the status of the existing reservation system of CJVR and the adapted Gaffney’s Website Evaluation Checklist to measure the acceptability of the developed CJVR-ORS. Findings of the study revealed that the status of the existing reservation system of CJVR obtained a descriptive equivalent rating of Moderately Disagree which was inferred as Constraints. The CJVR-ORS was developed using the Rapid Application Development Model consisting of requirements planning, user design, construction and cutover phases respectively. The acceptability of the developed CJVR-ORS obtained a descriptive equivalent rating of Moderately Agree which was interpreted as Acceptable. Conclusions were the existing reservation system of CJVR needs innovation to improve its services and to cope up with the needs of its customers providing them the ease of access and convenience. The CJVR-ORS was developed and completed using the RAD methodology. Specifically, the researchers made used of PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP}, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), and JavaScript as the front end and MySQL as the back-end technology. These implementation tools were used effectively in developing the system
