Among these, the swine feed industry has been particularly affected. This study examines swine feed sellers' financial implications and strategies in Luna, Bangar, and Sudipen, La Union. Data were gathered from 23 local swine feed sellers and interpreted using frequency counts and percentages, ratios, and point biserial correlation. Findings showed that swine feed businesses face financial implications on their profitability, liquidity, and stability and implemented strategies, specifically revenue generation, product expansion, and cost-cutting. Further, these swine feed businesses experienced fluctuations in their financial performance from 2019 to 2023. This study aims for senior high school graduates in the City of San Fernando, La Union, by examining the profile of industries, available job positions. and preferred 2lst-century skills required by employers. This study employed a researcher-designed survey within a quantitative descriptive research design. Data were gathered from 343 registered micro-enterprises in the City of San Fernando, La Union, using frequency, percentage, and median. The study reveals that micro-enterprises in the City of San Fernando, La Union, primarily offer low-skill service jobs. Such internship programs are available locally and internationally; these helps participants build up their professional competencies. Government Internship Program was established to provide young people, particularly recent graduates and/or students, opportunities and engage them to serve public agencies/entities projects and programs at the national and local level. This study evaluated the effectiveness of Government Internship Programs in San Fernando City, La Union. Using a descriptive quantitative research design, data were obtained from 168 respondents, taken from the GIP participants of City of San Fernando, La Union. Frequency, percentage, and median with Cramer's V and Spearman’s Rho were utilized as statistical tools to interpret and analyze the gathered data. This study was conducted to analyze the capital investment and financial performance of boarding houses in San Fernando City, La Union. Data from 47 registered boarding houses were gathered using validated questionnaire and were analyzed using frequency counts, percentage, and financial ratios. Findings revealed that these boarding houses are usually located near a school and hospital/clinic; most of them are sole proprietor who owned the land where the boarding houses were established and are compliant with necessary permits and licenses. This study determines the cash budgeting, financial performance, and price volatility of the high-value crop businesses in the City of San Fernando, La Union. A descriptive-correlational research design was utilized, gathered data using researcher-administered survey questionnaires to ascertain cash budgeting practices and financial performance of high-value crop businesses, and documentation on price volatility. Findings revealed that high-value crop businesses in San Fernando, La Union are very profitable and liquid. Most of them are employing essential cash budgeting practices; however, most of their budgeting practices does not affect their financial performance. This study determined the challenges and financial performance of the food stalls in food park businesses in the City of San Fernando, La Union, and examined the relationship between the two. Data were gathered from 35 food park stall owners using frequency counts, percentages, ratios, and point biserial correlation. Findings showed that food park businesses faced challenges in financial, operations, and marketing practices, and despite these challenges, these food stall businesses were liquid and profitable in 2023. Overall, the study revealed that the challenge of setting product prices influences the liquidity of the food stalls in food park businesses. Students are frequently confronted with numerous pressures which add to their stress. This study identified the coping strategies of college students of DMMMSU MLUC, during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a descriptive correlational survey method. A survey questionnaire was used to collect datafrom371 college students of the colleges/institute in DMMMSU MLUC, which were analyzed using frequency, percentage, rating, median, and chi-square. Finding reveals that they experienced academic and non-academic stressors. The college students sometimes experience the effects of stress and sometimes they used different stress coping strategies. The findings also revealed that the biological, psychological and social effects of stress and coping strategies has significant relationship. The data were gathered from the College of Management Students using a descriptive-correlational design. The researchers administered a survey questionnaire, and data were analyzed through frequency counts and percentages to determine the profile, median to assess the level of awareness and investment behavior, and Spearman’s rho to explore the relationship between level of awareness and investment behavior. The findings reveal that the majority of respondents are young adults, predominantly female, mainly first- or second year Business Administration students, with limited prior investment experience but a strong financial goal of saving for the future. Social influences had minimal impact on their decisions. The students possess a moderate level of awareness. Investment behavior showed a generally positive attitude. The study objectives were to standardize the formulation and processing, determine the sensory qualities and acceptability attributes. The research designs used in this study are developmental, experimental and descriptive design. The main ingredients are sweet potato, papaya, Kimchi paste, and longganisa; the method to standardize the formulation, 10 Trained and 30 Consumer type panelists rated sensory attributes using 9-point Hedonic Rating Scale, and average was used to calculate the mean score. Further, a descriptive-survey method of research was utilized in the analysis of responses from 200 respondents for both public and private establishments. Each problems were analyzed using frequency and percentage, and for the significant difference, a non-parametric tool called Chi-Square was used for the data analysis. The findings revealed that BSOA graduates have more opportunities in entry-level jobs in both public and private establishments compared to the advanced office position and specialized office administration. Moreover, most of the establishments compensation can provide Pl0,000 and below. However, the possible benefits are good enough for the employees, as are the promotion and salary increase. This study described the effectiveness of SPES in empowering students from the City of San Fernando, La Union. Data were gathered using a valid and highly reliable survey questionnaire from 178 SPES beneficiaries during the year 2024 and administered through an online method using a Google Form. Data processing was made using Microsoft Excel and Jamovi for frequency counts, percentages, Spearman Rho's, Cramer’s V, and Point-Biserial tests. The study revealed that most of the beneficiaries of SPES were students in their late teens to early twenties. Most of them are females, and are college students, and a greater number of respondents were employed in public offices compared to those placed in private establishments. The findings also revealed that SPES is an effective initiative in empowering students’ academic performance and skill development. This study explores the financial literacy and access to financial services of microentrepreneurs in the City of San Fernando, La Union. A cross-sectional survey and correlational research design were utilized among 356 microentrepreneurs within the central business district. Findings revealed that respondents generally demonstrated a high level of financial literacy regarding financial knowledge, attitude, and behavior. However, results show limited access to different key areas. Access to financial products and services does not depend on knowledge alone. In response, the study recommends collaboration among microentrepreneurs with financial institutions and local government units to strengthen support and policies that empower them to make sound financial decisions and use proactive strategic approaches. The study was conducted to determine the profile, financial management practices, and productivity of microfinance institutions, and the relationship between their financial management practices and productivity. Data from 14-microfinance institutions were gathered using a validated questionnaire and were analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, median, and Spearman’s Rho. The respondents always practiced their financial management and are very highly productive. One of the most common reasons for business failure is poor financial management, which is especially prevalent in a highly competitive industry. Thus, this study determined the financial management practices of casual dining restaurants in Agoo, La Union, in terms of financial planning and budgeting, working capital management, and acquisition of funds. This also determined the relationship between their profiles and financial management practices. The researchers conducted a survey of twelve registered casual dining restaurants in Agoo, La Union, using a validated questionnaire and analyzed it using frequency count and percentage, median, spearman rho, and Cramer's V. The findings showed that casual dining restaurants in the municipality often practice financial management. This study aimed to identify the financial management strategies of small grocery stores in San Fernando City, La Union. Data were gathered from 35 registered small grocery stores in San Fernando City, La Union using validated survey questionnaires and were analyzed using frequency, percentage and Cramer's V Test. Findings revealed that small grocery stores in San Fernando City, La Union were implementing financial management strategies which included preparing cash budget, financial planning, acquiring funds using personal savings and loans, trading with different suppliers who offered discounts and lowest price. This study was conducted to evaluate their financial performance in terms of revenue, liquidity, profitability, and leverage. Data were gathered from seven (7) registered Abel weaving businesses using validated survey questionnaire. The responses were analyzed using frequency count and percentage, financial ratio analysis, Spearman’s rho, and Kruskal-Wallis Test. Findings revealed that all respondents were registered, classified as microenterprises, sole proprietors, and majority had been in business for two decades. They sourced materials locally, and all are manufacturing their own products. The businesses showed strong sales performance, were highly liquid, profitable, and maintained low levels of debt. This study determined the financial performance of grape farms in Bauang, La Union. Data were gathered from 61 grape farm owners using a validated survey questionnaire and analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, mean, Spearman’s Rho and Cramer’s K Findings showed that grape farm owners were male, middle-aged adults, married, and college graduates, while the grape farms were less than a hectare with a ground well operated by an electric pump, operating at least a year, and were classified micro-enterprises. The study determined the level of financial performance of selected school supplies businesses in San Fernando City, La Union. Data from 23 selected school supplies were gathered using validated questionnaire and were analyzed using frequency count, percentage, ratio analysis, mean, Cramer’s V correlation and Spearman Rho correlation. The results of the study revealed that most of the selected school supplies have a capitalization up to P3,000,000. Majority are owned and run by one person, most are located near a school, and are operating for an average of 16 years. Soft brooms have always been a household item of daily use in continuous demand, providing a reliable means of livelihood. This study assessed the financial performance of buy-and-sell soft broom businesses by examining the relationship between business profile variables — such as registered status, business size, ownership structure, years of operation, location, and sources of inventory—and key financial indicators, including liquidity, profitability, and stability. Qualitative research was used, and data were analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, and ratio analysis. The result shows all were eight registered sole proprietorship businesses predominantly located near the public market. Over three years, their financial performance had improved. Among the business profile variables, only years of operation exhibited a statistically significant positive relationship, which was under profitability, suggesting that longer-established businesses are more financially viable.
