Publication Dynamics of student leadership of college of sciences students of DMMMSU-SLUC Agoo, La Union school year 2001-2002(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - South La Union Campus, 2001-10) Serrana, Marnicita C.; Supsupin, Mary Grace C.This study was focused on the relationship between the dynamics of leadership' and the profile ofthe students. Researchers made use of the descriptive survey method in gathering data. The questionnaire has two parts namely, personal and emotional profile leadership styles and human relations. It made use of a four-point scale, which has a descriptive equivalent individually, assigned as very often, often, always and not so often. The study sought to answer the following questions. 1. What is the demographic profile of College of Sciences DMMSU-SLUC student's leaders along emotional and personal dimensions? 2. What are the dynamics of'students leadership of College of Sciences along a. Leadership Styles b. Human Relation Skills. 3. Is there a significant relationship between the profile of student's leaders and the dynamics of the student leadership? The researchers made use of the microstat program on correlation matrix to test the hypothesis. The frequency, percentage and the weighted mean were also used to determined and quantify the data gathered. The studies come out the following findings and recommendation: Findings 1. Most of the respondents are females 2. The respondents occasionally used the democratic and laissez-fairs styles of leadership and the student leaders occasionally used their human relation. 3. The emotional quotient of the respondents was rated generally used by the student leaders. Recommendation The findings the following recommendation are made: 1. Male students are encouraged to join student's organization. 2.Since the respondents yielded with" occasionally" rating of democratic style of leadership there is a need to enhance of the student leaders are encourage to be more democratic to promote mutual change of ideas. 3.The emotional quotient of the respondents is "generally well" but they can still improve the indicators, which were rated "low". 4.There is a need to improve the human relation skills of the respondents. 5.An action plan of leadership training.
