Publication Blood parasites of carabao (Bubalus bubalis) in La Union(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - North La Union Campus, 2014-03) Selga, Gina H.Union, determine the prevalence rate of blood parasites of carabao in La Union, and find the comparative infection rate of blood parasites in lowland and upland municipalities of La Union. Two hundred (200) carabaos were randomly selected for blood collection in selected municipalities of La Union. Direct smear in the microscope slide was done upon collecting the blood The smear was stained with Diff QuiclC and examined under microscope using high power magnification and oil immersion. Blood parasite examination revealed negative results.
