(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - North La Union Campus, 2016-03) Salibad, Aida G.
The high cost of commercial feeds prompted poultry raisers to look for alternatives sources of feed extender such as sweet potato leaf meal and sapal meal. Hence this study was conducted to determine the effect of sweet potato leaf meal and sepal meal as feed extender for broiler. It was conducted at Salincob,Bacnotan,La Union from November 14, 2015 to December 19, 2015. Seventy five 14- day- old chicks were used in the study employing the RCBD in three blocks. The birds were distributed randomly into five treatments. The results of the study revealed that the performance of birds fed with the sweet potato leaf meal and sapal meal as feed extender did not significantly influenced the performance of broilers in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption ,feed conversion ratio.
