    Bivariate analysis of the clean water act of 2004 in the municipality of Bauang, La Union

    Water is known as a life support of human existence. One of the most known fresh water sources is groundwater that supplies most of domestic consumption. However, residential septage system tainted the purity of groundwater. Using a mixed approach, this study determined the status of awareness and compliance of the household owners, the relationship of these variables, and identified the issues and challenges met such as impracticability in reconstructing a septic tank in the compliance of the 376 respondents from the 39 barangays of Bauang, La Union to RA 9275. The researchers also laid suggestions to enhance the existing ordinances of the town based on the provisions of RA 9275. The resultsshowthat therespondentswereawareof the provisionsof RA 9275, but their compliance did not entirely depend on what they know on the provisions of the said law.
