    Workplace stress and performance of trial court employees in the Province of La Union

    Workplace Stress is one of those factors that affects the performance of an employee, which can also affect the organization. It is also a growing problem in organizations as it not only affects the working life of the employees but also the family life of the employees. The objective of this study was to evaluate employees’ workplace stress and performance. A survey was conducted to 140 Trial Court employees in the Province of La Union. The researchers used quantitative research design. Median was used to determine the level of workplace stress and performance of an employee. The level of workplace stress among the trial court employees in all indicators are mild stress based on the computed median score of 2 except for the demands indicator which is interpreted as moderate stress based on the computed median score of 3. The level of performance among the trial court employees oj La Union is commendable based on the computed median score of 4. Spearman rho correlation was used in Excel and IBM SPSS Statistics to analyze the data and the results show that there is a significant relationship between workplace stress and performance of the employees. The findings also showed that when Trial Court employees in the Province of La Union workplace stress level rise, performance will suffer.
