The study was conducted from November 21, 2007 to January 25 2008 to assess the status of existing biogas generators in the Province of La Union. Specifically, this study aimed to determine the following: (1) demographic profile of the biogas technology adopters and non adopters; (2) the profile of biogas generators in the Province of La Union; (3) degree of satisfaction of the biogas technology adopters in terms of economy, and production & operation; (4) degree of seriousness of the problems met by the biogas technology adopters in the production of biogas as well as the operation and maintenance of biogas generators; and (5) degree of seriousness of the problems met by the non-adopters near biogas generators. The descriptive method was used in this study. There were 68 adopters and 255 nonadopters of biogas technology from the Province of La Union who served as the respondents. The data were gathered through the use of questionnaires supplemented with personal interviews and observations to ensure accurate response and minimize bias. Most of the biogas technology adopters were college graduates (52.94 percent), farmers (50 percent), and with a monthly income of Php 5, 000.00 & below (32.35 percent).
