(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus, 2025-03) Cabading, Bon Jozel A.; Casuga, Melvin Lloyd A.; Gumia, Ma. Elena M.; Maala, John Ivan B.; Miranda, Carl Angelo D.
Rice is one of the world's most important and essential crops, and its production generates a significant amount of agricultural waste, including rice hulls. In order to address and seek an effective solution, Development of Rice Hull Pulverizer and Pelletizer (DRHPP) was created which has the ability to transform rice hulls into useful organic fertilizer and pellets. This paper studied the design and assembly of the development of rice hull pulverizer and pelletizer following the Project Developmental research design. The DRHPP underwent 5 trials for each material used in the study which are rice hull, corn, molasses oil and water to attain reliable data to be evaluated. The pulverizing efficiency of the machine is 92.08% while its pelleting efficiency is 93.48%. The machine has a size quality of pellet of 61.96%. The Return on Investment of the DRHPP, on the other hand, is 15.14% that is said to be economically viable.
