Publication Quail (Coturnic coturnix japonica) laying performance supplemented with different levels of mulberry (Morus alba l.) leaf meal(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-North La Union Campus, 2025-05) Mendoza, Irish Lyka W.MENDOZA, IRISH LYKA WAY-AS. (2025). Quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) Laying Performance Supplemented with Different Levels of Mulberry (Morus alba) Leaf Meal. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Major in Animal Science, College of Agriculture, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union. Adviser: Barrameda, Russel B. Given the rising cost of traditional livestock feeds, this study aimed to evaluate the laying performance and profitability of Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) fed with different levels of mulberry (Morus alba) leaf meal (MLM) as a feed supplement. Conducted at DMMMSU, Bacnotan, La Union, from August 17 to October 3, 2025, the study involved 60 ready-to-lay quails randomly assigned to four dietary treatments: T₀ (100% commercial feed), T₁ (5% MLM), T₂ (10% MLM), and T₃ (15% MLM), using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The research assessed several performance indicators, including body weight, feed and water intake, egg production, and profitability. This study contributes to ongoing efforts to identify sustainable and cost-effective feed alternatives for poultry production, especially for small-scale quail raisers seeking to reduce dependence on commercial feeds without compromising productivity.
