Contactless light switch automation system using arduino and mobile control
(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - South La Union Campus, 2022-05) Picardal, Jefferson A.; Bragas, El Don Kim B.; Juloya, Maria Cristina F.; Melecio, Sheila Mae; Revilla, Lalaine A.
The main objective of this study was to develop a Contactless Light Switch Automation System using Arduino and Mobile Control. Specifically, it sought to attain the following objectives: (1) to determine the functional and non-.functional requirements, (2) to design and construct the system using Prototype Model, (3) to evaluate the level of usability of the developed system. A descriptive research design was implemented with the aid of interviews and a Usefulness, Satisfaction, Ease of use questionnaire as a data gathering instrument, and a developmental research design was implemented for the development of the system. Different features were effectively integrated into the system based on the phases of the prototype model. For the functional requirements: GSM Module for communication, sound detection, and motion detection. For the non-.functional requirements: accessibility, availability, performance, reliability, usability, and portability. The developed system was very highly usable with a 4.48 USE instrument mean rating.
