    Status of crime prevention prorams in the City of San Fernando, La Union

    Crime Prevention is not merely a concern of every individual in the community. It is a kind of strategies and programs implemented by the Philippine National Police and other National government agencies to the LGUS in combatting crimes in our society. The primary aim of crime prevention is to ensure everyone's safety in the community. This study focused on determining such Crime Prevention Programs and strategies implemented by the police officers of the City of San Fernando, La Union. And to specify if there's a problems and challenges in implementing these crime prevention programs and strategies such as lack of man power, insufficient crime prevention equipment, and unreported cases instances. The researchers used semi-structured questionnaire, which was used as an interview guide for the researchers, some certain questions were prepared, so as for the researchers to guide the interview towards the satisfaction of the research objectives, but additional questions were made encountered during the interviews. The interview aims to determine such crime prevention programs implemented in the City of San Fernando and how effective it is based on how safety the citizens of the City of San Fernando walking during daylight and at night.
