Readiness in the Civil Service Examination of Bachelor of Public Administration Students of DMMMSU-MLUC
(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - Mid La Union Campus, 2024-05) Bugarin, Rhealyn H.; Banatao, Rogeline E.; Lubrica, Maribel A.; Marimla, Jolina G.; Oribio, Irish Joy Q.
This study assessed the readiness of Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) students at DMMMSU-MLUC for the Professional Civil Service Examination, focusing on verbal ability, analytical ability, numerical ability, and general information. Using the Civil Service Examination test questionnaires from the Carl Balita Review Center, data were collected from 74 out of 80 third-year BPA students and analyzed through item analysis, percentages, mean, and standard deviation. Findings indicated that third-year BPA students are unprepared and have failed to pass the Civil Service Examination. Overall, the study concludes that all respondents, regardless of section, are not ready to take the Civil Service Professional Examination. These findings emphasize the need for targeted interventions to enhance students' preparedness in critical areas required for the examination.
