    Employability of technical education and skills development authority-private education student financial assistance (tesda-pesfa) graduates of La Union: basis for policy recommendation

    This study to describe the socio-economic profile, training, competency assessment and certification profile, employment status of graduates before training after training and during the conduct of the study, constraints/issues/problems encountered by the respondents and what policy recommendation can be formulated to address the identified constraints/issues/problems of the TESDA-PESFA La Union Graduates. The descriptive research method was used, utilizing a questionnaire with interview in the data gathering and the data gathered were tallied, analysed using the appropriate statistical tools such as Frequency Counts, and Percentages. The Delphi Technique was used to validate data gathered, and subsequently formed the basis in formulating the output of the study. The result of the study showed that the socio-economic profile of the respondents is varied. Their employment status before training, after training and during the conduct of the study is also varied wherein the percentage of employed has increased with training assessment and certification as interventions in employability of the respondents. The problems on very low stipend which causes their difficulty in attending class/training.
