    Recruitment and selection practices of district hospitals in La Union

    Finding and hiring the best-qualified candidate for a job is known as recruitment and selection process. This study endeavoured to describe the sources of applicants, recruitment and selection practices of District Hospitals in La Union. This survey gathered data from HR Managers. HR Staffs, and Heads of Unit of hospitals through an adapted questionnaire, which were analysed using frequency and percentage count. Findings revealed that the respondents internally source applicants inside their organization and they welcome walk ins, job advertisements and former employees as external source of applicants, they recruit applicants using streamers, new media, they personally submit curriculum vitae, and through company email. They sift CT based on personal information and skills, work experience, education and training. They select applicants through individual and group interview, ability test, psychological test, intelligence test, personality test, telephone and email background check require medical examinations and notify applicants through text, email, and telephone call.
