Item Assessment and thematic analysis of activities of the schools division of Benguet based on clustering algorithm(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus, 2024-04) Frondarina, Gary Basilio.; Cadaoas, Genevieve C.; Ledda, Mark Kristian C.; Sapuay-Guillen, Sheena I.Evaluation is a critical tool in systematically assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and output of various projects, programs, and activities. This research delves into the essential steps in activity evaluation, emphasizing the significance of clear goal definition, meticulous data collection, rigorous analysis, and insightful interpretation. It aimed to enhance activity evaluation methodologies and practices for activities within the Schools Division of Benguet (SDO). The study developed an Assessment and Thematic Analysis system using a Clustering Algorithm for data analysis. This system processes and analyzes data from activities, providing a comprehensive overview of feedback and participants’ engagement. The study employed both descriptive and applied research designs, integrating the Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) framework and the K-means clustering algorithm as the primary analysis tool. Concurrently, the Agile Kanban model was used for system development. The SDO Benguet Online Activity Evaluation System facilitates user segmentation, thematic analysis, and clustering. Rigorous testing ensured adherence to user acceptability standards, indicating the system's reliability and efficiency. Recommendations include encouraging full adoption of the online platform by program owners, providing proper ICT training and technical assistance, and implementing comprehensive monitoring and evaluation strategies. Further studies are suggested to expand assessment processes across different organizational settings, considering additional system configurations for improved outcomes.Item Assessment and thematic analysis of activities of the Schools Division of Benguet based on clustering algorithm(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - Mid La Union Campus, 2024-07) Frondarina, Gary B.; Cadaoas, Genevieve C.; Ledda, Mark Kristian C.; Sapuay-Guillen, Sheena I.; Mique Jr., Eusebio L.; Agtani, Joven B.Evaluation is a critical tool in systematically assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and output of various projects, programs, and activities. The descriptive and developmental research designs with the survey checklist and questionnaire as gathering tools were used in the study. A total of one-hundred-five (105) respondents from the employees and patients of the Balaoan District Hospital located at Brgy. Bungol, Balaoan, La Union was requested to participate in the survey floated by the researchers. Among these respondents, the Chief of Hospital along with eight (8) Administrative Personnel were involved in the determination of ICT Profile of the Balaoan District Hospital as well as in the assessment of the usability of the developed system. On the other hand, ninety-six (96) patients were also requested to participate in the assessment of the status of the existing system of the hospital. Data gathered were analyzed by way of frequency count and mean. In the determination of ICT Profile of the Balaoan District Hospital, results depicts that only hardware and software are present while the peopleware and network components seem to be insufficient in accommodating the deployment of the system. In the assessment of the status of existing system in the Balaoan District Hospital, results entail that the all components of the PIECES Framework are found to be constraint. The Balaoan District Hospital Patient Information System (BLDH-PIS) was developed using Rapid Application Development model and was assessed as usable by the respondents.Publication BET-IT:(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus, 2025-11) Gonting, Clarisahaina R.; Ganas, Isabelucas O.; Saplan, Nicole Anne D.; Ledda, Mark Kristian C.; Patacsil, Joseph A.; Sardeng, Shekainah Kim A.The study Bet-IT: A Game Challenge for Reviewing PhilNITS Examination developed a mobile application that enhances IT exam preparation through gamified learning. Descriptive-developmental research design was used to determine the desired features integrated in the system. Findings of the study revealed that a high acceptability when used and adopted was found out as a proactive tool in the detection and control of white grubs. The developed device was evaluated in terms of accuracy and response time. Between comparisons, result shows that sensor 1 has the highest mean followed by sensor 2 then sensor 3. Hence, sensor 1 which is the vibration sensor revealed to have the highest rate over the two other sensors. Further, the said device enhances and heightens calamansi production resulting to excellent and quality production for calamansi growers. An area of wide management of white grub must be encouraged to sustain the existing and economical growth of calamansi in Tagudin or even the entire Philippines. Other new method of controlling or detecting insects, pests and diseases may be done.Item Network security policies and procedure based on the threat-driven approach for Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus, 2021-04) Tizon, Joshua M.; Patacsil, Joseph A.; Malicdem, Alvin R.; Cabading, Jose Mari N.; Ledda, Mark Kristian C.Avoiding the numerous consequences that may result from a cyber-attack, the colleges and universities should take affirmative steps to strengthen their networks and defend their data.
