Persons with Disabilities in the Philippines are entitled to a 20% discount and VAT exemption on specific purchases of goods and services, such as food in fast-food restaurants. This is under RA 10754, also known as the "An Act Expanding the Benefits and Privileges of Persons With Disability (PWD). This study aimed to determine the status of compliance of fast-food restaurants with RA 10754 among the beneficiaries and compliance coordinators. The study involved two hundred ninety (290) respondents (273 PWDs and 17 Fast-food Restaurant Managers). Frequency counts, percentages, and ranking were employed as statistical tools for the quantitative part. It yielded the following results: The fast-food restaurants in the City of San Fernando, La Union are compliant to RA 10754, specifically, 92.3% compliance for Food Services, 87.53% compliance for Establishments, and 90.7% compliance for Documentary Requirements. The study found no significant difference in compliance perception between PWD Customers and Fast-food Restaurant Managers for Food Services, Establishments, and Documentary Requirements. Procedural barriers, particularly the lack of PWD ID issued by the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), were identified as a common obstacle, rated above 50%. The research concludes by offering strategies to address and combat the identified issues.
