Extent of implementation of the plastic regulatory ordinance in the public market of the municipality of Tagudin, Ilocos Sur

This study aimed to determine the Extent of Implementation on the plastic regulatory ordinance in the Municipality of Tagudin, Ilocos Sur. Descriptive research design, was used in the study. Data were gathered through the aid of questionnaire, supported by interviews and personal observation. Using incidental sampling, a total of one hundred sixty (160) respondents were selected for the study, comprised of 80 vendors and 80 buyers/consumers. The data was analyzed and interpreted using frequency counts, percentages, and means. Results showed high awareness of the respondents and high level of on the implementation of Plastic Regulatory Ordinance. However, serious problem was noted in the implementation, particularly on the discipline of the retailers/vendors. Hence, an action plan was proposed.
