    Barangay Pagdalagan Norte information system

    This study focused on the development of the " Barangay Pagdalagan Norte Information System" that aims to support the Barangay Pagdalagan Norte in managing of information and other records. Specifically, it addressed the following objectives: determined the demographic profile of the Barangay Pagdalagan Norte; determined the policies and procedures in terms of collection and storage of data, information dissemination and reports generation; determined the ICT profile of Barangay Pagdalagan Norte along hardware, software, and peopleware; developed the system using Rapid Application Development Model and; determined the level of usability of the developed system in terms of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and user acceptance. The descriptive and developmental research methods were used in the advancement of the entire study. A total of fifteen (15) respondents consisting of barangay officials and IT experts participated to test the usability of the barangay information system. Findings of the study showed that the demographic profile captured as part of the features of the Barangay Information System; collection and storage of data, information dissemination and reports generation are manually operated by the Barangay Officials; ICT resources of the Barangay are generally present; the Barangay Information System was developed using the Rapid Application Development Model. The respondents very strongly agreed that the system is very highly usable as evidenced by the grand mean of 4.57. Thus, it was developed with the appropriate features and served its utility value and operated as it was intended for use.
